Denominational news

On July 14, Doon PRC will call a man to labor in the Philippines from a trio of Revs. R. Kleyn, VanderWal, and VanOverloop. Providence PRC has formed its first trio, consisting of Revs. R. Kleyn and Slopsema, and Candidate Bleyenberg, from which they will call on July 17, God willing.

Calvary PRC called Rev. Koole to be their first pastor. Rev. Koole plans to answer his call to Calvary PRC on July 20.

From the Mysteries of the Kingdom, Pg 152:

“The question of how the sinner repents is an important one. It arises naturally from the heart of the believer. If he knows that he is lost in sin and unable to save himself, he will wonder how he can even come to sorrow for sin and confession. The answer to this question was given basically in the parable of the lost sheep. There the Lord taught us that it is the Good Shepard Who brings us back.”
