From the Mysteries of the Kingdom, Pg 152:
“The question of how the sinner repents is an important one. It
arises naturally from the heart of the believer. If he knows that he is lost in
sin and unable to save himself, he will wonder how he can even come to sorrow
for sin and confession. The answer to this question was given basically in the
parable of the lost sheep. There the Lord taught us that it is the Good Shepard
Who brings us back.”
