      Our new trio for missionary to the Philippines is: Rev. R. Kleyn, Rev. VanderWal, and Rev. VanOverloop.

NOTICE: A Congregational meeting has been scheduled by the Council for Monday, July 14 at 7:30PM. At this meeting we will vote for a missionary to the Philippines and vote on proposals regarding the starting time for the second worship service.

The FMC will meet Tuesday July 15 at 7:00 p.m.

The pictorial church directories have arrived. Please pick up your copy from the table in the narthex.

May the Lord go with the young people from our congregation who plan to attend the convention this week. We pray that the Lord will bless them richly as they fellowship both in and out of the Word with others of like faith.

Prof Gritters continues to serve on the field in the Philippines. He plans to be there yet this week and to preach for the Bereans again next Sunday, the 20th, before returning home to the States. The Ibes also continue to work alongside of him. Remember them in your prayers.

      Calvary PRC extended a call to Rev. Ken Koole.

      Providence PRC (daughter congregation of Faith PRC) has the following trio: Cand. H. Bleyenberg; Rev. R. Kleyn, and Rev. J. Slopsema.  They plan to call from the trio at a congregational meeting on Thursday, July 17.

 The Annual Society Meeting for Trinity Christian High School will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in Hull.  Nominees to replace retiring board members Alvin Bylsma and Jim Regnerus are:  Ike Uittenbogaard and Wayne De Jong from Calvary, and Phil Kuiper and Perry Van Egdom from Doon."

A Bridal Shower for Lacey Van Bemmel (engaged to Tim Key) is being planned for Monday, July 21, 7 p.m. at our church basement. All women high school age and older are invited.

NWIPR school board will meet on July 22 at 7:00 in the church basement.  Please note change of date.

Bethel’s Canoe Trip Update: We have full participation this year with thirty-six people signed up to go!  Letters are being sent out this week to all who have registered, informing you of various details, including the due date for full payment, which is July 15, 2008.  We are also looking into the best way to transport our participants to the Boundary Waters as they come from a number of different areas this year: Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.  If you have a vehicle (van or bus) we can use (mileage paid), please contact Joshua Meurer (1-616-828-8113).  The theme for this year’s canoe trip is “Fighting the Good Fight of Faith” taken from 1 Tim 6:12.

Bethel’s Evangelism Night: Bethel’s Evangelism Committee is planning to host an event focusing on PR Missions in general and Bethel’s evangelism labors in particular on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.   Please mark your calendars for that date and plan on attending what promises to be an inspiring and exciting evening.   Some of you in the congregation will be approached to help organize this event to which we hope to invite others from the Chicago-land area PR churches to attend.  It is our hope that such an event will encourage and inspire us all to continue in the glorious work of evangelism in the area God has placed us to give a faithful witness.
