ANNOUNCEMENTS
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands, Serve
the LORD with gladness. Come before His
presence with singing.” Today we are
privileged to come into God’s presence in worship, to give Him the glory due
Him and hear His blessed Word. May the
Lord bless and strengthen us to this end.
We
welcome Rev. R. VanOverloop and Seminarian Dan Holstege to our pulpit and fellowship today. May the Lord richly bless us as together we
praise and worship Him. Our pastor is
preaching in Wingham this morning.
During
the worship service this morning, Brielle Joy, infant daughter of Kevin and Leesa VanOverloop, will receive
the sign and seal of Holy Baptism. “For the promise is unto you and to
your children…even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

upcoming camping trip to determine the number attending and to decide what camping
equipment to bring.

Vern Casemier was hospitalized this past Tuesday due to
chest pains and was admitted for testing and observation. All the tests
came back positive. He returned home on Wednesday and is doing well.
Fall
Family Visitation, “Keeping Ourselves Unspotted from the World”, begins this
week.
The
Council will make nominations for the offices of elder and deacon, the Lord willing,
at its next meeting. Article 22 of our Church Order allows for the
congregation to suggest men for nomination. To direct the Council's
attention to qualified men, please submit names to our clerk, Mr. Don DeJong, keeping in mind the qualifications for officebearers as set forth especially in I Timothy 3.

Council of Hope PRC continues to administer cyclone relief to the Protestant
Reformed Churches in Myanmar at the rate of $5,000 per month. The funds
continue to be used for food and medical expenses.
To date, two houses have been rebuilt and one more is in the process of being
rebuilt. Continue to keep the needs of the saints there in your prayers
as they continue to face many difficulties.
•The
Domestic Mission Committee has been corresponding in recent months with a group
of four families in Tucson, AZ who are interested in our churches starting a
work there. These people, through personal study, have become very familiar
with the PRC and are giving a good witness in their community on a
personal level and with the Internet. The DMC will send a delegation of Rev.R. VanOverloop, Rev.A. Brummel and Dave Rau September 11-15 to visit and investigate this
field of labor. Let us pray for this group, for the delegation that will
visit, and for an open door to labor with them.
