       Welcome:  We welcome our visitors to our worship service today.  If you are a visitor, please fill out a visitor card found in the bulletin racks and give it to one of the greeting elders at the end of the service.  “The Lord is my Shepard; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.” Psalm 23:1&2 (To request a CD or audiocassette of this week’s sermons or other events, sign the sheet on the narthex closet door.)

     

      Pulpit:  Our pastor is sick with a sore throat, therefore the elders will be leading both services today.

      Preparatory/Lord’s Supper:  Next week Sunday evening we will have Preparatory with a view of partaking of the Lord’s Supper two weeks for today, the Lord willing.

      From the Consistory: Nominations for council have been made: for elder, Robert Brands, Dennis Griess, Leon Griess, and Rob Van Uffelen; for deacon, Rod Griess and David Hollema. If there are no lawful objections election will take place at our congregational meeting on December 14, 2009. A lawful objection would be if one could not serve because of a violation of the church order or the Biblical principles in I Timothy 3.

      Denominational News:  First PRC (Holland) has a new trio of Rev. Steven Key, Rev. Kenneth Koole, and Rev. William Langerak.

      Fundraisers Meeting:  The Fundraisers will meet this Thursday, November 12, at 7:30 p.m.  Members are reminded that all new business must be submitted to the secretary (Amy Brands) at least 2 days prior so agendas may be sent out.  The photo for the yearbook will also be taken at this meeting.  Visitors and new members are always welcome. 

      Singspiration:  The Young People will be sponsoring a Singspiration on Sunday, Nov. 15, after the evening worship service.  A collection will be taken to help the young people of our congregation pay for their expenses to attend the 2010 P.R. Young People's Convention.  Please join us in singing praises to our God.
