Reformed Witness Hour (RWH)

Next week Rev. Haak will speak on the theme of “Yet Will I Rejoice in the Lord” based on Habakkuk 3:17-19. The RWH is aired every Sunday at 10:00 on 101.5 WORD FM.  Be sure to let others know to tune in and listen!

 

Catechism Classes

After the morning worship service: Beginners - Lesson 23.  Tuesday:  Essentials - Amillennialism, Heidelberg Catechism - Lord's Day 10, Juniors - The Decline and Fall of Judah.

 

Monthly Committee Meetings

The Neighborhood Outreach Committee and Media Committee will meet today for their monthly meetings.  The Outreach Committee will meet after the morning service and the Media Committee will meet after the evening service.

 

Young Adults

Young Adult's Society will meet after the evening worship service to study Judges 6:1-32.

 

Jonathan Mahtani

Seminarian Jonathan Mahtani will not be speaking a word of edification for us today since he will be speaking during both services in Franklin.  We wish him and the congregation there, God's blessings as His Word is proclaimed.

 

Call to Worship

We will be holding our Thanksgiving Day worship service on Wednesday, November 25.  The service begins at 9:30 AM.  Let's gather together to express our thanks to God for all that we are and all that we have. The collection that morning will be for the Foreign Student Assistance Fund.

 

Steering Committee

The men on the Steering Committee will meet next on Wednesday, December 2nd.  Prior to the meeting, beginning at 7:30, Rev. Bruinsma will lead the men in a discussion on the church order.  All confessing male members are welcome.

 

Acts of Synod 2009

The 2009 Acts of the Synod of the Protestant Reformed Churches is available in the back of church for those who are interested.  There is a limited supply so be sure to take only one per family.

2010 Protestant Reformed Mission Calendar: Active in Missions has produced a 2010 calendar of our Protestant Reformed mission fields and contacts. The 12-month calendar features colorful pictures and descriptions of the fields as well as birthdays and anniversaries of our missionary families. A sample copy of the calendar is available in the back of church.
