CONGREGATIONAL  ANNOUNCEMENTS

We welcome all visitors to our services today and heartily desire that you are blessed with us under the Gospel.  Audio tapes, CD’s, and DVD’s of our sermons are available.  Please write your request on the form on  the back table after the service and remember to leave a donation when you pick up your request.  There are hearing aids available for the worship service.  Contact Arthur L. The sacrament of Baptism will be administered to Hunter Louis, the son of Ryan and Stephanie Regnerus, this morning service.  We pray God’s blessing upon them as they seek to raise their son in the fear of Jehovah.

There will be a short meeting in the auditorium for all the conventioneers after the morning worship service.  The 2008 Young People’s Convention is here!  Byron Church is ready and excited to welcome and host you this week.  It is our earnest prayer that we all have week filled with spiritual growth and encouragement, fun, and good fellowship.  If you have any last minute questions, please visit our website at www.prcconvention.com.  See you soon!!

Attention:  The convention bus will be at Peace PRC at 4:30 a.m. this Monday morning for loading.  The bus will leave at 5:00 a.m. sharp!  Reminder:  The bus money must be given to Mrs. Becky Maatman that morning.  Donuts and juice will be provided for the departing conventioneers.

       Mr. and Mrs. John Holleman thank the congregation for the cards, prayers, and expressions of concern shown to them following Chris’s recent knee surgery and recovery.  We are also thankful for the many meals brought to us during this time.  “Trust in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.”  Isaiah 26:41

 

       

CHURCH  NEWS

Doon Protestant Reformed Church plans to call a missionary to the Philippines from the trio of Rev. R. Kleyn, Rev. M. Vander Wal, and Rev. R. Van Overloop.

Providence Protestant Reformed Church plans to call from the trio of Candidate Heath Bleyenberg, Rev. R. Kleyn, and Rev. J. Slopsema.

Calvary Protestant Reformed Church extended a call to Rev. K. Koole.

The summer issue of the Reformed Perspectives is on the back table. 

The Reformed Witness Hour can be heard on WYLL, 1160 AM, at 8 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  We encourage you to begin your Lord’s Day tuned into this edifying broadcast.  Next week’s topic is “Fear Lest We Come Short” based on Hebrews 4:1,2.    

   

REQUESTED   ANNOUNCEMENTS

1st Annual Family Dinner/Fun Night: Join us Saturday, July 26 at the PRCS in Dyer for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. We will have indoor and outdoor games and activities for the whole family from 4-8 p.m.  Dinner will be served from 5-7:30 p.m.  See the flyer in the back of church for more details.  Please come out, invite your family and friends, and join us!

There are still a few envelopes for the Heritage CHS General & Building Fund, 2008-2009 school year.  Please take them from the back table. 

The PRCS Finance Committee reports on the status of the General Fund contributions for dues, collections and envelopes as of June 30 in the amount of $99,500. Our total year goal is $109,700 leaving a balance of $10, 200 to be collected by our fiscal year end, July 31.  Thank you for your continued support.
