Classis West will meet this coming Wednesday, September 1, in Hull, Iowa. They are having an office-bearers’ conference on Tuesday, considering that God created out of nothing. May the Lord enrich the participants of the conference and may His Spirit guide the deliberations and decisions taken at the meeting of classis.

Seminary began classes last week. There are currently 5 Students: Joshua Engelsma, Erik Guichelaar, Karl Dykstra, Vernon Ebe, and Francesco deLucia. The three Senior Students are serving Internships through December (Nathan Decker, Brian Huizinga, and Jon Mahtani). May the Lord of the harvest bless the instruction unto the preparation of laborer's in His harvest.

Other News:  This past Monday, the Lord suddenly delivered Pastor Rinat Fazliev to glory.  Pastor Fazliev led a small house-church in Uzbekistan and has been in contact with the PRC through the Contact Committee for several years.  He had been sick for some time, having been afflicted with a severe kidney disease.  Pastor Dilshod Abdulaev, the other PRC contact in Uzbekistan, conducted the funeral.  Rinat is survived by his wife, Galina, and his two children, Mark (11 years old) and Yana (7 years old).  Let us remember the Fazliev family and the Uzbek churches before our heavenly Father's throne, and may our gracious God give them the hope of resurrection and life in Him who is the Resurrection and the Life.

AM Doxology

Praise ye the Lord, ye hosts above in yonder heavenly height,

And bless the Lord, ye saints below, Who in His praise delight.

By all His creatures let His Name be honored and adored;

Let all that breathe, in praise unite to glorify the Lord.

PM Doxology

May the grace of Christ our Savior and the Father’s boundless love

With the Holy Spirit’s favor rest upon us from above.

Thus may we abide in union with each other and the Lord,

And possess, in sweet communion joys which earth cannot afford.
