led by Prof.David Engelsma, continues to meet on
the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of
each month at 7:45 PM at Faith
Protestant Reformed Church, Jenison, MI.
The class
meets this week Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7:45 PM at Faith Church.
Having finished the lecture and discussion on the church militant and
triumphant, Prof. Engelsma now turns to the subject of the church
visible and invisible, in particular the movement that rejects the
necessity of membership in a true instituted church. You are welcome. |

Attention Dordt Students: The Dordt Bible Study is continuing its season, meeting on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. in room C1316. Studies are currently on the Belgic Confession. It will meet tomorrow evening, Jan.23, at 7:00 p.m. We continue our study of the Belgic confession Articles 5 & 6, the Authority of the Holy Scriptures. |

Prof. Russ Dykstra's Monday Night Bible Class which meets in Hope Church (Walker, MI) at 7:30 p.m. (every Monday) has begun a discussion of Ecclesiastes. Highly recommended are the “Search the Scriptures” articles by Rev. T. Miersma in the Standard Bearer on this book. The first is found in the November 1, 2010 issue of the SB, and run mostly every other issue. These SB issues are available at RFPA.org. |

January 8, 2012 - Grandville (MI) PRC: This coming year, 2012, marks the 100th year anniversary of our Psalter. The Protestant Reformed Psalm Choir invites you to join them to commemorate this special event in joyful praise and thanksgiving to our God. The choir will select a group of Psalms to sing for this occasion, and will produce a special 100th anniversary CD. Please consider becoming a choir member for this special commemoration of our Psalter. The choir will hold its first practice on January 8, 2012 and subsequent Sunday's at Grandville PRC at 2:15 PM.

February 19, 2012 - The Voices of Victory will be hosting a benefit concert on Sunday evening, February 19 at Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, MI (3500 New Holland). The concert will begin at 8:15 PM. Joining the Voices of Victory that evening will be Eric & Crista Phelps (cello/piano) and With One Voice (women’s quartet). All proceeds from the concert will be given to the families of Leah Griess and Nicole Kooienga (from our Loveland, CO church) to assist them with their substantial medical expenses following their car crash this past summer. If you cannot attend but would like to contribute, please send donations payable to Voices of Victory to 4900 40th Ave. Hudsonville, MI 49426 or turn them in to Heritage Chr. School’s office.

March 6-7, 2012 - Classis West will convene, the Lord willing, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 8:30 a.m. at the Hope Protestant Reformed Church in Redlands, CA. Please note that all material for the Agenda (appeals, overtures, protests, etc.) must be in the hands of the Stated Clerk, Rev. Douglas J. Kuiper, by February 6, 2012. An Officebearers' Conference will be held the day before, Tuesday, March 6, 2012: "Herman Bavinck: The Theologian."
March 8-9, 2012 - MEN, mark your calendars: The men’s conference at Byron Center PRC is scheduled for March 8-9. The first speech on Thursday evening will be “The Godly Man: Living Soberly and Righteously in this Present World.” based on Titus 2: 11-14 by Rev A Spriensma. The second speech at the men’s conference is entitled “The Godly Man: Looking for the Glorious Appearing of our Saviour”, based on Titus 2:11-14 by Rev. Haak. We will also have 6 interesting sectionals from which you can choose to attend following the speech. Pre registration is required. Deadline for registration is Feb 20. March 12-15, 2012 - Colorado Spring Retreat: Loveland PRC will be hosting their annual Young Adults Spring Retreat March 12-15, 2012, Lord willing. Pastors Key and Spronk will be speaking on the theme "Are You Healthy?" The retreat, to be held at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO, is open to ages post-high through 30. September 17-21, 2012 - The Senior’s Retreat sponsored by Heritage PRC of Sioux Falls, SD is just a short time away! Reserve Tuesday, Sept 18, 2012 through Friday September 21, 2012 for a week of spiritual refreshment and good Christian fellowship. Our Theme for the week is: Our Glorious Heritage with speeches on Our Heritage of Faith, Our Heritage of Family and Friends, and Our Heritage and the Future. Registration will take place on Tuesday morning at the Holiday Inn, City Centre and the conference will end after breakfast on Friday morning. Look for more information in the coming months.
