On Sunday, June 16, while our pastor is at Synod, Rev. Richard Smit, one of our missionaries in the Philippines, will supply Loveland’s pulpit. This will be Rev. Smit’s first opportunity to preach in Loveland. After the evening service he will give a presentation concerning our denominational mission work in the Philippines.
On Friday evening, May 31 at 8:00 pm, the School Board is sponsoring a lecture on the history of the Christian school movement from the time of the Protestant Reformation. The title of the speech is “The Reformation’s Zeal for Christian Schools.” The speaker will be Prof. Russell Dykstra of the Protestant Reformed Seminary. After the lecture there will be a time of questions and answers and then a time of fellowship in the basement.
Young Calvinists presents another “Talking Points” to be held at Grandville PRC on Saturday, June 22, at 7:00 pm. Mr. Charles Terpstra will be leading under the title, "Are You a Reformed Reader?" Remember Young Calvinists is designed for young people/adults (ages 15-25ish).
