Pamphlets
We print pamphlets written by our members and those from other Reformed churches of like-minded faith. They include a wide range of topics from doctrines to church history and practical Christian living. These pamphlets serve to promote knowledge of the true God as expressed in the Reformed faith.

(Part 2 of a 3-part series on articles on the Heidelberg Catechism)

Gratitude!
The Catechism's View of the Christian Life

by Rev Carl Haak

This article emphasises how the Heidelberg Catechism has shaped the spiritual lives of Reformed believers. It reminds us of our only comfort in life and in death - that we belong to our Savior Jesus Christ!

My sin, my deliverance, my gratitude forms the "triple knowledge". Gratitude to God is the only motive for Christian living! "The Catechism is making the point that thankfulness to God must drive the whole of our conduct." Hence, the need for good works!

This gratitude is also long-suffering. It endures hardships, trials and temptation. It fights against Antichrist and holds to the truth contained in the Catechism. May we continue to live grateful lives, loving God and be thankful for the Heidelberg Catechism.

Infant Baptisms
Prov 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

What inheritance will grandparents leave for their grandchildren?

When asked "Whether you promise and intend to see these children, when come to the years of discretion (whereof you are either parent or witness), instructed and brought up in the aforesaid doctrine, or help or cause them to be instructed therein, to the utmost of your power?", these parents answered with a resounding yes!
