Rev.M.McGeown to Preach and Give Presentation on Limerick Mission

RevMcGeownThis coming Sunday evening, October 20, Rev. Martyn McGeown will be preaching for Providence PRC (meeting at Heritage Christian School in Hudsonville). Rev. McGeown is currently a missionary working with the Limerick Reformed Fellowship (LRF) in the Republic of Ireland. Shortly after the service he will be giving a brief Powerpoint presentation concerning his work as missionary. All are encouraged to attend!

Due to Rev. McGeown's presentation next week evening and in order to make it easier for families with young children to stay afterward, the Council has decided that the evening service will begin at 5pm.

Seminary Conference on the Heidelberg Catechism - This Weekend!

The Protestant Reformed Seminary is planning to hold a special conference commemorating the 450th anniversary of the Heidelberg Catechism this week Thursday to Saturday, October 17-19, 2013 under the theme "Our Only Comfort".

Hudsonville PRC, which is helping to host the conference, has made a special website to provide information and promote this important event. You are encouraged to check out this website for all the information you need on this noteworthy conference. And we hope that you will also make plans to attend this profitable conference.

Promote the conference and spread the news among family and friends! Join the Seminary and its friends and supporters! Be edified and encouraged by the speeches! And enjoy rich fellowship with fellow saints from across the area and country!

In addition, there will also be plenty of good literature for you to browse and purchase. Special book and pamphlets tables will be set up with materials on the Heidelberg Catechism and other Reformed topics. The Seminary plans to have a special table with information concerning its labors. Don't miss these opportunities for adding to your personal and family library and for spiritual growth!

- Arrive early to hear performances by the Hope Heralds on Thursday evening and Bryan Westra on Friday evening. These performances will start at 6:45. Besides our three Seminary professors, conference speakers include Rev.Carl Haak of Georgetown PRC, Dr. Jürgen-Burkhard Klautke from Germany, and Rev. Angus Stewart from Northern Ireland. New Trio to Call a Pastor For Faith PRC

FaithPRC2012Following the recent decline of Rev.C.Griess (Calvary PRC) to her call (Sept.15, 2013) the Council of Faith PRC (Jenison, MI) presents a new trio to the congregation of Revs. Garrett Eriks (Hudsonville PRC), Ken Koole (Grandville PRC), and Ron Van Overloop (Grace PRC).  A congregational meeting to call a pastor is scheduled for Sunday morning, October 27 after the morning service.

Presentation on Pittsburgh Mission by Rev.W.Bruinsma

bruinsmaThis coming Sunday, October 13, Missionary-pastor Wilbur Bruinsma will be giving a presentation in Cornerstone PRC (Dyer, IN) on the Pittsburgh PR Fellowship and work.  He will also preach for Crete PRC on Sunday, Oct.14. All in the area are cordially invited to attend this special missions presentation and to hear Rev.Bruinsma preach.

While Rev.Bruinsma is away from the Pittsburgh mission, Rev.J.Slopsema and his wife will be there to preach for them.
